Welcome to LAW, The Louisiana Alliance of Wiccans. We are a non-profit organization based in Springfield, LA. Our mission is to effect positive social, economic, and political change in Louisiana. Our purpose is to represent Wiccans and other Pagans in Louisiana on legal issues based on religious discrimination.
If you or anyone you know in Louisiana have legal issues based on religious discrimination, please contact us at LAAW@hughes.net. Each case is evaluated and considered individually.
If you know of an unlawful ordinance (based on religious discrimination) in a town or parish in Louisiana contact us as well. Our legal staff recently tackled the Livingston Parish Anti Divination Ordinance and won. That law in no longer on the Livingston Parish books! (Follow the You Tube links here on our site for details.)
We have 2 major fund raisers a year, and smaller fund raisers throughout the year, to raise money to fund legal support when needed. All of the profits we raise go back in to the community for legal fees, filings, etc. Our staff attorney works pro bono, he does not get paid for his services. All of our other staff members donate their time as well.
